The Gun Show

'The Gun Show' are crowdsourced posters by artists rallied by Creative Action Network to give voice to curbing gun violence. It was a fun and thought provoking project I contributed for. It gave me the chance to think about what guns mean in our culture and to myself--one of my favorite directors is Quentin Tarantino after all. His style isn’t exactly shy about using violence and guns to get his point across.

And so it seems we are at once in love with the representation of guns--at the way its point cracks the surface of the paper, and repulsed once the imperfections show through. It’s the salty sweet effect that can make something not just more palatable but enjoyable.

Snap Shots :: Paris Cakes

Snap shots of a patisserie on the streets of Paris. I particularly love the act of repetitiveness: one cake at a time daintly put down behind the window until it's filled up with hopes of emptying it again at the end of the day. Most times it’s by chance when visual inspiration sneaks up on me. When I’m lucky enough, I have my pocket camera on hand to reflect on the visual later and my graphic interpretation of what it meant to me just then.

iphone you Valentine Card

iphone you Valentine card

iphone you

Here is 'Il Mio San Valentino-iphone you" Valentine’s card I printed up this last weekend. The inspiration came from our fascination and attachment to our telephones which nowadays we can barely live without. This was my first time printing on Magnani Revere paper-Silk. It proved to be wonderful paper to print on and I thought it easier to crease than other paper.
